Today we discovered the link between the area of a square and the area of the rectangle which is 1cm less wide and 1cm taller. The tricky question started with a square which was 1cm by 1cm. We investigated the diagonal lines on a tables square and the patterns connecting square numbers. Great work from the boys and girls at St Matthew’s school!
