Maths Club followed a new path

In Maths club today, we looked at patterns in times tables squares and how they could help us. We noticed that  only a quarter of the answers were odd numbers because to get one, you had to multiply two odds together. We used prediction and check to discover new patterns on a much bigger tables square and made another discovery about square numbers instead of looking at rectangles.  We left the group work for next week. Some great work from the children at St Matthew’s – well done!
