This week we continued our theme of investigating rectangles and what happens to the perimeter when corners are removed – one group looked at L shapes, another T shapes and another cross shapes. We added a few tricky questions about why does it work, will it always work and how many different shapes like this can you make? We also tried a new game – the children are going home to practise and make a strategy to win!
